Getting out and about in the Boat…
It is officially summertime in Steamboat and we cannot wait to get outside and soak in all that the great outdoors have to offer! It’s no secret that our small community shares a love and passion for staying active and taking advantage of anything and everything that gets us out of the house and into nature. That’s why we are so fortunate to live somewhere that offers a plethora of outdoor activities, regardless of your interests! This summer we hope that you are able to come and adventure with us and experience the magic of the Yampa Valley.
To help you plan, we sat down and compiled a list of some of our favorite activities that are just opening up for the summer!
Horseback Rides
Saddleback Ranch, a 4th generation, family owned and operated ranch, just a few miles west of Steamboat Springs offers a true ranching experience! From cattle drives, horseback rides, and wagon ride dinners, there is something for the entire family to enjoy.
Paddleboard Adventures
Paddleboard Adventure Company has officially opened their doors for the summer! Stop by their in town location for more information on lessons and rentals. If you’re up for a scenic drive, head 30 miles north of Steamboat to Pearl Lake where Paddleboard Adventures has a pop up rental shop.
Golf with a View
With three public golf courses, Steamboat has a variety of terrain for players of all experience levels! If you are looking for a quick 9-hole game along the river, Steamboat Golf Club is your place! For sweeping views across the valley and a delicious lunch, Haymaker Golf Course is for you. And if you want a game tucked into the pines with the sound of Fish Creek Falls in the background, there is no better place than Rolling Stone Ranch Golf Club.
Tennis Center
The Tennis Center of Steamboat is open and eager to welcome back players of all skill levels! Also offering outdoor pickleball courts, and located just across the street from The Porches, this is a great way to get active! We recommend booking ahead of time as courts will fill up quickly.
Bike Rentals
The bike shops are open and offering rentals! Whether you want to challenge yourself with a mountain bike ride on Emerald Mountain’s extensive trail system or take a cruise with the family down the Yampa River Core trail, there is no better way to get outdoors. We recommend stopping by to see Hazen and his team at Wheels Bike Shop on Yampa Street!
A Day at the Spa
Spending a relaxing day the spa getting a massage, or perhaps an manicure and pedicure. After a long day hiking and adventuring there is no better way to relax and unwind. Our concierge can provide wonderful recommendations for different spas and treatments.
