Fall is in the air in the Yampa Valley…

As the air begins to chill and the days start to shorten, fall is closing in on the Yampa Valley. As we patiently await the spectacular changing of the leaves, there is still plenty of time to get out and enjoy community events in Steamboat!

Can’t Miss Events:

Restaurant Week

October 1st thru October 6th

There is no better time to experience Steamboat’s amazing dining options than during Restaurant Week. Not only do restaurants continue to serve their best dishes, they also pull out all the stops with new menu items just for the week. Bonus: many restaurants are also offering great deals this week.

First Friday Artwalk

October 4th

Take an evening stroll through participating art galleries and restaurants showcasing new artists each month. Many locations serve light appetizers as well as wine. This entire event is donation based.

Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

October 9th

Each fall in Banff, Alberta, The Banff Mountain Film Festival is held. Following the festival, l the tour takes their films to 450 communities in 40 countries. The collection of films showcased explore mountains around the world, remote cultures, and death-defying mountain sports.

Yampavore Farm to Table Dinner

October 17th

Hosted at Harwigs in downtown Steamboat, the Yampavore Farm to Table Dinner is a can’t miss. Featuring 100% local products, Harwigs’ head chef whips up incredible creations that boast the finest ingredients that the Yampa Valley has to offer.

Foundry Halloween 5K

October 26th

Easily the most fun 5K of the season, the Halloween 5K is great for runner and walkers of all ages. Costumes are highly encouraged and proceeds from the race benefit The Foundry Treatment Center.

Sugar Skull Painting Class

October 27th

Join local artist, Julia Dordoni, at Mountain Tap for her 4th annual Sugar Skull Paint ‘n Sip class. The guided class will walk you through creating your own sugar skull masterpiece, just in time for Halloween! Space is limited and it fills up quickly, so it’s a good idea to register early.

Halloween Stroll

October 31st

The Halloween Stroll is truly one of the best events of the fall season in Steamboat! Our community comes together to close down Lincoln Ave while children of all ages trick or treat from store front to store front. This safe and fun Halloween event is perfect for the whole family.
