FAMILIAR FACES AT THE PORCHES
SARA GOREVAN
Getting to know concierge team member Sara Gorevan is easy —keeping up with her on skis or a mountain bike is another story entirely. Hailing from New Hampshire, the avid outdoorswoman could not be happier to call Steamboat home—and to do all she can to make sure you feel at home, too.
At The Porches, our family is your family. It’s our job to get to you know you so we can better meet your needs. But it’s kind of fun, we hope, for you to get to know us, too. We consider ourselves the opposite of a nameless, faceless resort or a generic vacation rental condominium complex. That’s why each month, we want to introduce one of our team members. So that next time you see us, we can personally welcome you home.
Originally from: The Berkshires of Massachusetts and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I grew up skiing. I’m a mountain girl through and through.
Moved to Steamboat: after marrying the man of my dreams in 2011. This will be my second year with The Porches and my sixth year in Steamboat.
Favorite Steamboat Activity: It varies by the season: mountain biking, mountain bike racing, and paddle boarding in the summer, backcountry skiing or skate skiing with my huskies during the winter.
Favorite place: I love to head out for a big hike in either the Park Range or the Zirkel Wilderness.
Before joining the team at The Porches: I was a ski-snowboard and telemark skiing instructor. I continue to teach fitness classes at Colorado Mountain College and lead a small group called “Fit with Faith” at Steamboat Christian Center.
Favorite thing about my job: The opportunity to make amazing, adventurous vacation itineraries for our guests. I love to weave experiences together and to take care of all the logistics so our guests and owners can focus on the amazing snow and the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
