Ski Town, U.S.A.® takes the love for skiing and turns it into an opportunity to benefit the community.
The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club was founded in 1914 as a committee for the yearly Winter Carnival. For more than 50 years, the club has functioned as an educational non-profit organization and continues to do so today.
The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club has a mission to drive their athletes passion for both their sport and their community. The passionate and committed coaches strive daily to develop these young athletes into champions both on the mountain and in their everyday lives. As a result it is one of the oldest and most impressive winter sport’s clubs in North America having sent 88 athletes to 19 Winter Olympic Games.
Early Access to the Slopes
Winter is quickly approaching and anticipation for the upcoming ski season is building. For those that can’t wait to dust off their gear and make the first turns of the season, we have great news for you.
On Wednesday November 22nd, join our Steamboat locals and hit the slopes before opening day on Scholarship Day. Season passes and other lift tickets are not valid this day. However, at a steeply discounted rate, it is worth the extra money to support a good cause and access the mountain before it officially opens on Thursday, November 23rd.
Helping Local Athletes Pursue Their Dreams
Spend the day skiing knowing that you’ve done your part to support local athletes. All the proceeds from Scholarship Day benefit the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club scholarship fund. Over 1,000 children participate in club programs each year and the scholarship fund provides hundreds of these deserving athletes with financial support to pursue their dreams. Since 1992, Scholarship Day has raised more than $1,000,000 for local Steamboat children.
